This Tribute website was created by Brenda Braxley on 11/4/2005 to honor our loved one.

Our sweet Michelle was a fun loving, free-spirited darling, who was always smiling, always laughing.  She fluttered through our lives like the butterflies that she loved so much.  She was only 21 years old when she was taken from us. She had moved back home with her little girl, Briana, finally leaving an abusive relationship with her boyfriend.  She had only been back home for three months and had decided that she wouldn't be going back to him.  On the Monday after Mother's Day, she left to go to town, never to come home again.  I found her the next morning at his home.  He had shot and killed her and then himself.  We can only guess that he had talked her into coming over, probably because of Mother's Day, he could always sweet talk her. She still loved him and didn't think that he would hurt her.  We just thank God that Briana stayed home with me, we all believe that we would have lost her that night along with her mom.  I am raising Briana now.  She misses her mommy so much.  At night she looks in the sky for her mom's star, the brightest in the sky, and talks to her.  She looks just like her mom.

Michelle grew up in Milledgeville, Georgia.  She went to Salem Baptist Church and loved it when they went on church trips.  She graduated high school and was going to college when she became pregnant with Briana.  Due to terrible morning sickness, she had to leave college but had already started making plans to go back when she was killed.  She wanted to go into physical therapy, marine biology or criminal investigation.  There was so much she wanted to learn. She was working at a doctor's office in the medical records department and loved her job.  She had so many things that she wanted to do, going back to college, raising her little girl, learning to play the guitar (had even picked out a guitar that she wanted to get), and getting to hang out with her friends again.

She is missed by so many, her brother and bestfriend - Tony, her little girl - Briana, her mom - Brenda, her grandmother - Agnes, her uncle - Larry, her aunt - Sharon, her cousins - Natashia, Damien, Josh and Lane.  She was joined in Heaven in August of 2003 by her Uncle Terry who passed away from colon cancer. She called him her big cuddly teddy bear.  They are dancing together in Heaven now.  Michelle will never know her darling neice, Kadence, and her handsome nephews, Mikey and Braydon.  They will miss out on the love and fun that Aunt Chelle would have had with them, the laughter, jokes, and goofiness that Michelle loved to do. She loved to have fun and goof around. They won't get to know what a caring, loving, bubbly, kind-hearted, sweetheart their Aunt Chelle was.  She is also missed by the many, many friends that she had. At the funeral, the place was so full, people standing by the walls, in the hallway, filling the whole place. The pastor said that he had never seen so many young people attend a funeral like that before.

Michelle, you are in our Hearts, Thoughts and Dreams always.  We miss you more and more every day. Until we meet again in Heaven, darling.

Loving you always and forever,

Momma, Tony and Briana
